Annie is non-binary artist currently located in Portland, OR. Raised in the Deep South, they’re a recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest. They have dedicated their life to movement and art. Their training began in Tuscaloosa, AL, where they studied classical ballet, contemporary, tap and jazz dance styles, along with visual art study focused in pen & ink drafting, acrylic painting and linoleum-cut printmaking. Annie attended countless national dance conventions throughout their early career, placing at competitions and receiving scholarships. Later, they attended the University of Alabama where they received a B.A. in Dance and French with a minor in Art History. Their tenure there included scholarship awards, numerous performances and induction to Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Upon graduation, Annie began their professional career as an independent multi-disciplinary artist. Their work is presently centered around contemporary and rhythm tap dance, collage art, self-portraiture and textiles.
